Very kind, trustworthy honest people. I would tell anyone to take their vehicle to Virgils.

I just wanted to drive my kids home after many days of Mayo appointments. I walked out of the Ronald McDonald House (where we were lucky enough to be staying) to start packing my van and it had a flat tire. Something so simple can seem so complex when you're already stressed to the limit. Long story short, Jesse the nicest tow truck driver ever filled up the flat, tried to pry out the offending piece of metal (we ended up driving to the shop for better tools), they patched it immediately and we were on the road. The highlight was my little kids got to eat the "biggest purple freezer pops ever" in the back seat of the tow truck. Turning what could have been such a headache into such a joy. Thank you Virgil's, Bob and Jesse and everyone else that helped us get home on Thursday!

They need to teach there Loser employees some manors. Called to have air put in my tire, and I was told very rudely that "it's gonna cost ya" $60 for air rip off!

I would never recommend this place to anyone. Ever. Sure, they are AAA certified, but don't let that fool you into thinking that they will take good care of you. My car was recently totaled in an accident, and stored in their lot. First issue- they wouldn't even tell me where my car was, demanding payment (for overpriced services) before giving me any information. That seemed to be the standard answer for any question I asked, whether or not it prompted that response, "we won't until your car is paid for." (Note: having the money was not the issue, which I assured them of, but they made it hard even to pay!) The staff were rude at best (except the young man in the lot), causing me to leave absolutely disgusted. Bruce (who I think owns the place) and the lady on phones were terrible; angry, assumptive, and defensive without provocation. In fact, it took me outright telling them to drop the money issue and answer my questions before anything started to be resolved. Poor service aside, they try to rip you off trading in the vehicle. I was told that they could do $100, a stretch for them, trade on my $400 bill (adding, of course, that they would give me nothing until it was paid in full). After that, they proceeded to try to pressure me into making a fast decision. Luckily, I called Oronoco Auto Parts and Automotive Recyclers for quotes before accepting- their LOWEST quote more than quadrupled the original, even including towing! So no matter what they tell you, you WILL be able to recover more for your car. Do not let them pressure you into a decision. I hope this review saves some people from the headache I had to go through. I guarantee you will be much happier somewhere else!

My car was towed here with a broken shifting cable. The tow truck driver told us that the place was dead and hasn't been busy in a few days - that should've tipped me off. Within about 30 minutes of them having my car, Bruce called me with an estimate. He told me my shift cable was broken and would need to be replaced. He said the cable was $163, and with labor it would be $230. I told him to go ahead and replace it. When I went to pick up the car the next day, the bill was $420. Bruce was out to lunch, but the guy there told me that the labor was $230, not the total. I told him that's not what I was told, but he didn't care. If I wanted my car, I had to choice but to pay the bill. I asked him how much $230 worth of labor was, and he said it was just over two hours. He said they charged $110 per hour. If I would have known it was going to cost this much, I would've shopped around and found a better deal than $110 per hour. That is an outrageous amount to charge for mechanical labor. I'm very dissatisfied and would recommend people avoid Virgil's in Rochester.

Geico called them to come jump start my car and they said they'd be there in an hour. I called an 1 hr 15 min later because they weren't there and they said that they don't work with Geico so no one was on their way to help me. They didn't call me or Geico to let us know that they weren't coming to help. I definitely know I won't ever use Virgil's for any reason in the future.

My car had crazy electrical problems constantly locking and unlocking having the alarm go off causing the battery to die. They came right away to pick up my car and kept me informed of what was going on. Very friendly and courteous staff.. They fixed it within a few hours and even changed the oil gave me a new battery and the cost wasn't bad at all! They are my new go to for car problem!!

Thank you to Virgil's employee who helped get my electric wheelchair out of the gravel where the sidewalk used to be.

Drive like absolute maniacs. Their tow trucks are constantly flying at least 40mph on my small, residential street. Wouldn't trust them with my personal vehicle.
